The Golden State Warriors are considered the most likely destination for Kevin Durant should he leave the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason.

"He is definitely not out of Oklahoma City. If they win it this year, most likely he stays.

"There are people in Golden State who think they're getting him. There are people in management and I think some players too. Kevin Durant likes the way they play. He likes their style, he likes the fact they play unselfishly. He sees himself fitting into that group."

Broussard says Durant's attraction to the Warriors goes beyond just improving his odds of winning a championship and to the way the Warriors play the game.

"'This is the style I'd like to play for the rest of my career,'" said Broussard in an attempt to illustrate Durant's thinking.

Yeah, I don't know how signing KD would benefit the team
Would probably involve a Klay/Barnes trade to free up cap space.

there's actually a very detailed description of what exactly needs to be done to clear the cap space somewhere, I saw it on yahoo. It's incredibly possible and they keep Klay, Draymond, and Curry.

Why would Durant even accept a job that'd make him look desperate for a ring??

Yeah they'd have to lose Barnes and Iguodala as well as one of Bogut/Ezeli

Because he wants to win one ... is this even a real question? Show me an NBA player that isn't "desperate" for a ring

yeah, and see him get a ton of haters.

I don't know any Durant haters because he's likable and has class.

He's like the Spurs.

Because they'd sign one of the 3 best players in the league? Vets would flock to that team for cheap to win rings. It would make them better

They'd also lose a lot of their key players trying to make this happen

I'd you can run out a lineup of Steph-Klay-KD-Draymond-Ezeli it's not gonna matter. They would be better than they are now

Nevermind maybe I incorrectly assumed he was being sarcastic... In that case yeah that's dumb, there's no way in hell they'd be worse off or even "only equally good" if you essentially trade KD for Iggy+Barnes+Bogut/Ezeli, that's a hugely lopsided "trade" and they can fill the final couple spots with vets who want to play on a fun team in a fun area for an awesome home crowd and win a ring or two

They could win like 76 or 77 games

Add "California" to the list of reasons.

He's not interested in the Clippers, Lakers, or Kings..
He was saying as a reason that vets from around the league would flock to the Warriors for minimums if they signed KD
