Just wanted to bring up a few things on my mind, that I think should at least be considered for making the site more unique.
Maybe a home page. We could work to keep it up to date with sprots articles written by members. Maybe have tabs for each sport, and under each tab you could ahve a link to that sports' forum discussion, maybe also have articles for just that sport, and maybe even incorporate a live-updated scoreboard.
For example:
HP: Daily Headlines; Hot topic of the day (hottest thread on the forum); Join our forums (Just a link that would bring people to the screen to register)
Tab 1: MLB: Days top headlines from around the MLB; Todays scores; Link to MLB Forum
Tab 2: NFL: Top Headlines from around the NFL; This week's scoreboard; Link to NFL Forum
" Repeat for rest of sports"
Tab 5: SI's Artwork: Thumbnails of current and maybe previous skins; Signature Gallery, and maybe even do a section on that for the SOTW entries, the winners, etc.
Just something that would be a lot of work but might get a homepage that would be active and get a lot of attention, and also make SI unique. Because aside from the members, what makes SI different than the hundreds of sports forums?
