Boston Globe - Wes Welker made a "snow angel" in the team's 47-7 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday and was subsequently fined $10,000 by the NFL.

Welker said he wasn't sure if he would appeal, but he acknowledged his snow-angel-making days are over.

"It was a spur of the moment deal, and you can be sure that it won't happen again," Welker told the Boston Globe.
10 thou for making a snow angel jeezusss.

I remember seeing someone else doing this last season...
I dunno wtf happened this season... Maybe the added a 0 Fun Policy

But I can see why they finned Welker, They where up by like 4 TD's when he did this?

so maybe they finned him for unsportsmanlike conduct?

I remember seeing this and right when he did it saying "He`ll get fined." It`s just ridiculous how they fine people for pretty much everything.

I`m suprised that Shaun Ellis hasn`t been fined for throwing a snow boulder ball into the stands. Or if he has, I haven`t heard anything about it.

he was fined for endzone celebration, not unsportsmanlike conduct.

It could be characterized as unsportsmanlike, but let's be honest, this is BS.

Part of the rule in endzone celebrations is the use of props... and when asked about it, the NFl stated that the use of the snow had to do with the fine... so apparently snow is a prop.

I made a thread about Shaun getting fined $10,000 for the throwing of a snow boulder.

And, it is ridiculous. It's no fun anymore. They can't do anything.

Why is a "snow angel" illegal? It does not offend. Can there not be a better way to judge "unsportsmanlike conduct" for a celebration?

Commissioner Roger Goodell, NFL.com
Gary, there's no specific rule regarding snow angels. I love watching my daughters make snow angels and I don't fine them. However, NFL rules prohibit any player after a touchdown from going on the ground to celebrate. The competition committee and the membership came to this conclusion after a number of incedents that did not reflect well on the NFL and were not part of the game of football.
