If the Los Angeles Lakers continue to have a slow start to the season, Mike Brown's job will continue to be one of the most often discussed topics in the NBA.

While the Lakers have publicly supported Brown, Jerry Sloan and Mike D'Antoni are two available coaches mentioned as a potential replacement.

“Jerry Sloan to L.A. by December 1,” one league source predicted. “Nash and Howard are the new Stockton and Malone. He wants a ring, not to mention the money. He didn’t seriously consider Orlando, Charlotte or Portland [openings] over the summer because he knew Los Angeles would open up.”
fire mike brown now.

Yea this sounds like sheer speculation tome, but I would root for Jerry's 1st ring in LA

A COACH ring-chasing? This may be a first.

Mike Brown's job will be in jeopardy if the Los Angeles Lakers don't turn around their season over a six-game homestand, according to sources.

The Lakers have publicly supported Brown despite a 1-4 start, but have privately grown concerned about the direction of the team.

The Lakers haven't been at full strength with Steve Nash out, Dwight Howard still not fully recovered from back surgery and Kobe Bryant playing through a foot ailment.

But sources say that the front office is beginning to lose patience.
