Singletary nears deal with Vikings

Nearly two weeks after the possibility of Mike Singletary to the Vikings was first floated, it looks like a deal is near.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network says that Singletary is expected to join Leslie Frazier’s staff as a linebackers coach. A deal is being worked on. The Vikings were hoping to make some staff announcements early this week, including at offensive coordinator.

Fred Pagac is expected to be named the team’s defensive coordinator.

Shit yea, engage the next super staff in the NFL. Leslie is surrounding himself with the best playcallers and best positional skill coaches available. Now lets get Josh McDaniels under contract and I'm uber fucking excited about this next season.

This is definitely a guy you want on your staff. He knows his stuff, which is why when he was fired in San Fran, I knew he wouldn't be out of a job for long.
