Shumpert Unhappy With the Knicks’ Offseason Moves

The Knicks havent exactly had the best summer, their biggest free-agent signing was Metta World Peace, and they spent about $18 million to bring back JR Smith, who had knee surgery immediately following the inking of his deal. And heres another negative piece of news: up-and-coming guard Iman Shumpert is reportedly unhappy with the franchises direction, according to the Daily News: I guess the only question is if Metta expires before Shumpert, one of the few Knicks who has value. Dolan is reportedly upset that Shumpert wasnt interested in working with the summer league team and wants to trade him. Shumpert, Ive heard, isnt too crazy about the moves the Knicks have made, which could further stunt his development."

I definitely understand where Shump's coming from, espcially after he played so well in the playoffs, while JR struggled..
 
But he's still got maturing to do, offensively he doesnt know his limits... I still expect him to start over JR..
 
As for the summer league thing, it is what it is, I can see both sides' arguments on it

He really does need the work, his game is right at that tipping point... whether he'll become an all-star or continue to be a role player.

If Dolan wants to trade him I wouldn't mind him on the Wolves.  Not sure if Dolan would sell low or not though or what exactly he'd want back but I'd send Muhammad & Barea for him.  (I thought I read somewhere that the Knicks really liked Muhammad.

Yep, I watched that game as well. They were saying he was playing because he wanted to work on his offensive game.
