The New York Giants' turbulent offseason got another jolt this week when disgruntled tight end Jeremy Shockey and general manager Jerry Reese got into a shouting match at the team's minicamp, according to New York-area media reports.

Shockey said last week he was unhappy the Giants made him sit in co-owner Steve Tisch's luxury box instead of letting him stay on the field during Super Bowl XLII. He also said the Giants spread rumors he wanted a trade.

"There is an issue, but it is not something that would prevent him from working," Coughlin told the Record.

Personally I like Shockey and think he's a great TE. Would be great to have both him and Kevin Boss out there because Boss showed great stuff in the playoffs last year so having both of those threats would be HUGE. Don't criticize the man, aside from the minor injuries the man's got talent and still has many years left to keep the numbers up.

Personally I like him, sure he can have a bit of attitude sometimes but he's got a point when they didnt let him on the sidelines during the Super Bowl, because as a Shockey fan I was looking for him on the field when they won and never saw him. It's sad because he did play an important role in the team's success that year.

I really wish we would have never even thought about trading him.

None of this would be happening, I understand Boss is good, but he's no Shockey. They acted like they found a replacement, and I understand why he's acting the way he has.

I remember the first game I saw Shockey, I dont remember who he trucked, but it was vicious, from then on I loved Shockey.

I really hope things can be worked out, I really dont wanna see him go, but it might be too late now...
