Shaquille O'Neal says that Rasheed Wallace is thinking about playing next season despite the expectation that he'll retire.

Wallace told Boston during the NBA Finals that, despite having two years and nearly $13 million left on his contract, he was planning to retire.

"I know Rasheed is thinking about coming back," said O'Neal. "Rasheed, go on and come back for one or two more years."

The Celtics have been looking for a trade partner to take on Wallace's contract and the cap relief that will come with it should he retire.

No way he'd be back with the Celtics, right?

C - Kendrick Perkins / Shaquille O'Neal
PF - Kevin Garnett/ Jermaine O'Neal / Glen Davis

I don't see where Rasheed fits in. I Know Perkins is hurt, but he'd still be the 4th or 5th big man, and his minutes would just go down when Perkins returns.

Well you are definitely right. There is a huge jam there.
But you gotta remember that 4/5 of them are either old or injury prone players.
Sheed would be great insurance. Cause I'd be willing to guarantee one of those 5 will be hurt at some point.

It's either that or retire lol. He at least has a shot at a ring if he stays.

Not like he'd get the ball that much anyways, lmao. But he'd at least be on the court.

I hope he doesn't retire. I love Sheed. I don't care where he plays as long as he does. Come back to the D haha.

This new tech rule would kill Sheed.
