Shanahan: McNabb (ankle) in doubt for Week 1

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan acknowledged Sunday that Donovan McNabb (ankle) is in danger of missing Week 1.
"I really don't know for sure," Shanahan said. "That's why it's day by day. We'll see how it goes." The AP suggests that it could be a smokescreen, but Shanahan is concerned enough about McNabb to hold Rex Grossman out of the preseason finale. The Skins open versus Dallas two Sundays from now.
