That makes sense, and should help out the Redskins with their running game. As the article says, they are thin at RB, and they have Alfred Morris starting, a rookie. Now they'll have a veteran presence as well.Veteran running back Ryan Grant has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins, FOX Sports Insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reports.
Grant, who was in Chicago for a workout with the Bears, is flying to Washington on Tuesday evening to be with the team.
Grant was in the Bears' locker room when he got the call from the Redskins, according to Glazer.
CBSSports.com first reported that Grant and the Redskins struck a deal.
The Redskins are thin at running back after injuries to Roy Helu (foot) and Evan Royster (knee).
Grant was released by the Green Bay Packers following the 2011 season, in which he rushed for 559 yards on 134 carries.
He suffered a season-ending injury in Week 1 of the 2010 season following consecutive 1,200-yard campaigns.
I wonder what that was like with him being in the Bears' locker room when he got the call. See him there, and all of a sudden he's on his way to Washington lol.
