Two teams from Spain's top ACB league are trying to negotiate a buyout with DKV Joventut so they can sign Ricky Rubio, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Real Madrid and Unicaja Malaga are the two clubs that reportedly have interest.
Madrid is more notable, but Unicaja appears to have an edge because of coach "Aito" Garcia Reneses, who coached Rubio at Joventut.
Unicaja reportedly wants a three-year commitment from Rubio, while Madrid is willing to let the guard jump to the NBA after two seasons.
