The Bulls are anticipating Derrick Rose to be out until March.

Chicago's front office has made a series of cost-cutting moves as they anticipate the 12-13 season as one where they stand pat as Rose heals.

Like I've said, Bulls will be at best a 7 seed.

Unless they suddenly aren't a great defensive team anymore, they're going to be at least the 5th seed.

This is just what they're preparing for. He could breeze through rehab and be ready by January, or there could be a setback and he'll be out the entire season. February/March is what everyone pretty much anticipated, this shouldn't be a shock.

I still see them as a borderline playoff team, and I think, if that is true, will just show how much Rose means to his team. He's a great point guard who's been a leader since he came into the league.

If I was him I would take this season off to fully heal, especially when he's coming back, like fabruary/march

It depends on the situation the Bulls are in.
Derrick Rose is a fighter. If they have any shot at contending for the playoffs when he becomes healthy, he will insist on playing. That's the type of guy he is, he wants to be out there 24/7.

If the Bulls suck this year, and are clear lotto bound, Chicago just may shut him down

5 is pushing it IMO

I can potentially see a 6 seed, but they wont be better than Miami/Indy/Boston/NY/BKN
