Rolle: Redskins' Win Over Giants Was A Fluke

NFL.com - Giants safety Antrel Rolle believes that his team's loss to the Redskins on Sunday afternoon was a fluke.

"As a team and organization, we know that the Washington Redskins is not a better team than us," Rolle said.

"We know that hands down. If we played them 100 times, they might win five. They won that day. It never leaves a good taste in your mouth when you lose to an opponent that you know you are better than."

The two teams will play again on Dec. 18.

Washington beat New York 28-14 in Week 1.

I swear that was a horrible, off-day for us. Everybody seemed out of synch, Eli was 10x worse than normal, passes were bouncing off of hands, etc. But those aren't excuses. We sucked, they beat us fair and square. Who knows maybe we'd beat them 95-4 in 99 more games against them.

I think we're more talented and that got in our heads. We didn't prepare right and were sulking over all the injuries we suffered in pre-season.

They came to play, we didn't. Simple as that.

The Redskins just flat out played a lot better, just gotta go get em next time. Too many injuries on defense doesnt help and it sucks cuz that defense does not look good at all.

we justn eed better linebackers. Fewell kept sending linebackers on blitz and they couldn't do anything. Normally if our DLine was healthy, LB blitzes would have meant Canty, Tuck, Osi, Boley & Kiwi were rushing the QB. Now it's just Kiwi, Boley, Pierre-Paul & Canty. Oh, and Dave Tollesfson, almost forgot about him

Just doesn't work the same. You blitz you're going to be vulnerable in the middle of the field unless you get to the qb quick enough but that group ain't going to get the job done.

If tuck is back healthy next week I think the pass rush will be so much better with Pierre-Paul, Tuck, Kiwi & Canty going after Bradford.

I saw that and heard some people talking about it. What a pathetic move from Antrel Rolle. You guys got killed by the Redskins so you're going to go ahead and call it a fluke? Why don't you just man up and say that your team sucked worse than theirs does and move on with reality. Sorry, Washington beat them fair and square, and out-played them badly.
