Rolle: Coughlin Needs To Loosen Up

ESPN - Antrel Rolle wants to see the Giants become more like the Jets.

Specifically, Rolle wants to see coach Tom Coughlin be more like Rex Ryan.

"On a personal level, honestly, [Coughlin is] one of the best guys to be around," Rolle told WQAM in Miami.

"Very caring. Honest guy. Very straightforward."

Rolle was then asked about Coughlin as a head coach.

"Honestly, that's where the problem comes in with me, as a coach," Rolle said. "Since I've been playing the game since the age of six, to me it's never been about the money, it's never been about anything more than winning and having fun."

Rolle added that he isn't having coach under Coughlin.

I just knew all these players would come out of the brickworks after the Jets win and start implying that they want their coaches to start fucking feet and wearing wigs to make fun of their brother and just a whole bunch of shit.

I kinda see what he means though. Coughlin is being laid back and leniant but still not making it enjoyable... if that makes sense.

Idk, I feel like Coughlin just can't win sometimes. First the GIants players a few years ago bitched he was too tough, so he loosens up and they win a Super Bowl. Now he's loose but apparently not loose enough.

Almost sounds to me like the players have taken advantage of his looseness and thats preventing them from being motivated. Either way, I hope this doesn't hurt his future with the Giants. The G-Men knew Rolle was a very outspoken person when they signed him.
