Packers officially rule Aaron Rodgers out
Aaron Rodgers felt good enough to make some jokes in the Packers locker room on Friday, but he’s not ready to play football again.

The Packers ruled Rodgers out on Saturday after the medical staff did not clear him for the game. Rodgers is expected to still make the trip to New England, but Graham Harrell was activated off the team’s practice squad. Harrell will back up Matt Flynn on Sunday.

Rodgers is expected to be on the sideline to help Flynn during the game. The team placed safety Anthony Smith on injured reserve to clear roster space for Harrell.

It’s disappointing news for anyone that wanted to see Rodgers vs. Brady on Sunday night, but it doesn’t crush the Packers’ playoff hopes.

Even if the Bears clinch the NFC North Monday night, the Packers have a reasonable path to a Wild Card spot if they could win their final two games against the Giants and Bears.

Packers are f'ing terrible with Flynn under center. This division couldn't be any easier for Chicago to win right now. Another Green Bay loss would make it very, very tough for the Packers to get back into the playoff hunt. They'd definitely need to win out & get help.

Looks like a 3rd slaughter in a row for the Pats.

I have Rodgers as my starting QB in fantasy football so now I'm going to have to start either Jay Cutler or Carson Palmer. This is definitely another loss coming for the Packers, without Rodgers they don't stand a chance. Patriots may blow out yet another team, again. Packers are in serious trouble, I don't see them making the playoffs, unless Chicago keeps losing.
