The fact that there are still rumors of Rondo for Asik trades just proves that. Asik isn't that good at all, and Rondo is a premiere PG in the league

Ainge probably called Houston, asking for Asik, and was probably expecting a response of Bass+Lee+Marshon. And Houston actually counters with Rondo, smh

Asik is a very good player, bosox. If you don't think so, you've never watched him.

But yes, Rondo for Asik is far fetched. Rondo for Asik and Lin makes more sense.

I maintain that I want to keep him. He's still getting up to 15-20 minutes a game and Terrance Jones IS the stretch four we needed. Unlike Ryan Anderson, Jones can actually play defense, so imo we have a better player.

Aside from that, Parsons can move to four if Jones gets injured. We don't need a stretch four, let alone one like Anderson who isn't a great defender.

I watched plenty of him when he was a Bull, and I watched the Lakers/Rockets game last year, in which the Lakers employed a "Hack-Asik" strategy for 9 consecutive Houston drives. Not that good lmao. Decent role player, but not anywhere worth a superstar player

And Asik and Lin doesn't get you Rondo either. Add Chandler Parsons and a pick, and then yeah, but not a chance would I take just Asik and Lin for Rondo. The only way Rondo is traded, really, is if we get a fantastic offer (ie like Drummond or a guaranteed Top 3 pick in this draft) or we get a really good player AND we view Jordan Crawford as someone who can be the PG of the future

I wouldn't trade Parsons for Rondo. Not a chance.

Did you just call Rondo a superstar?

What Parsons does in every facet of the game is greater than a bunch of assists and a massive, destructive ego.

You'd take Parsons over Rondo (all-star) Terrence Jones over Ryan Anderson (best shooting PF in the league, aside from maybe Klove), the Rockets have two all world talents in Harden and Dwight and a sixth man pouring in 15-18 a night and apparently this great back up center they refuse to deal. Forgot about your man crush on Beverly too

How is this Rockets team not the greatest team ever assembled?

I do think that if Terrance Jones maintains his current production level, he's better than Ryan Anderson.

And yes, I would take Parsons over Rondo. Parsons gets ignored for some reason, but he really is the third member of Houston's big 3. He lights up the stat sheet night in and night out and is easily one of Houston's most important players.

The trade deadline is ages away. I think Morey's just starting high. Waiting to see if anyone desperate comes forward.
