I wanna see him in it I mean he will prolly lose but atleast he would have been in it.Rip the 3-point king?
Richard Hamilton wants to compete in the 3-point shootout during All-Star weekend. He's dead serious.
"The only reason I'm so interested in it is because everybody underestimates me, saying I can't shoot 3s," he said. "Since the LB (Larry Brown ) era, they still aren't giving me respect on my 3s. This is my chance to prove them wrong."
Hamilton led the league in 3-point percentage two years ago, and he's currently fifth in the league at 46.7 percent. He shot a rack of balls from all five stations during shoot-around Tuesday, and hit 22 of 30.
"All that running around and shooting, that's what I do," he said.
Hamilton, who has averaged 25.3 points and shot 63 percent over the last six games, was told that Chauncey Billups finished dead last in the event two years ago.
"I ain't Chauncey," he said. "He can't shoot 3s better than me."
