Rex Ryan continued his madness on Tuesday, adding hard-hitting safety Jim Leonhard to his New York Jets defense.

Despite news that Denver was making a last minute push, Leonhard will sign a 3-year deal with the Jets and form an new and exciting tandem with Kerry Rhodes. Leonard also follows fellow former Raven Bart Scott.

Leonard was a huge surprise for the Ravens defense last season, compiling a career high 68 tackles. Leonard previously spent time with the Buffalo Bills, mostly as a reserve, before signing a 1-year deal with the Ravens in 2008. -AE

He was impressive in the playoffs for them as well. I liked what I saw from him. Should help out the Jets nicely.

The Jets have agreed to terms with Leonhard, the Daily News reports.
Spin: The move comes as no big surprise, as Leonhard played for (new Jets coach) Rex Ryan in Baltimore. He's slated to start opposite Kerry Rhodes with the Jets.

I really loved the way that Leonhard played in the playoffs and during the season when he was given opprotunities, and I am loving Kerry Rhodes and Jim Leonhard as our 2 safties, sick addition.
