Report: David Beckham Turned Down Placekicker Tryout Offer

David Beckham was offered a tryout to become a placekicker by an unnamed NFL team prior to his move to Paris Saint Germain.
Beckham retired from soccer in May.
 
“It was obvious too that if Becks took up the offer then any NFL franchise would be interested as his international appeal would generate billions in PR and commercial opportunities," said a source.
 
Beckham declined the invitation but the source said he could change his mind in the coming months.

Haha. I fail to see how his skill-set relates to being a placekicker.... I think he'd be a decent NFL kicker though. You won't find many people with the kicking accuracy that guy has. 
 
The money he'd generate would be staggering regardless of how good he'd be....
