There is a lock No. 1 pick in this draft, Anthony Davis is a likely franchise player that any general manager would take without thinking.

But then it gets tough — there are a lot of good players, a lot of depth, but every guy left has question marks. Nobody else is a lock. Kentucky’s Michael Kidd-Gilchrist sometimes gets compared to Gerald Wallace — a very good player, but not a guy you want with the No. 2 pick. Kidd-Gilchrist could be better than that, but there are questions.

So the Bobcats want out. A tweet from Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld confirms other rumors buzzing around.

The Charlotte Bobcats are shopping the second overall pick, according to multiple sources.

Good luck with that.

With this deep draft, there is no reason to give up assets to move up from say No. 7 to No. 2, unless some team falls in love with a player. The Bobcats need help everywhere with everything, so they can be open to varied deals, but still why would another team do it? The same is true for pretty much every top 10 pick, but it’s going to be hard to get actual value for it.
