Citing three sources familiar with the situation, Yahoo! Sports’ Jason Cole reports that Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib “can expect” a four-game NFL suspension in connection with his alleged role in a March 21 shooting.
Talib, a Pro Bowl-caliber talent entering his fourth NFL season, met with commissioner Roger Goodell in New York this week to discuss the incident and impending disciplinary action.
Talib is believed to be one of eight players facing suspension after the league and union struck a compromise on enforcement of the personal conduct policy against offenders during the lockout.
Talib, 25, was suspended one game and fined two game checks for violating the policy in 2010. So he is a repeat offender.
