This really sucks, because it looked like a sprain, at worst. Just goes to show how easily that ligament tears.

At what point do we consider footwear as a way to minimize these injuries? Is there a way we can cause grip to let go if a pressure is applied at certain spots?

I don't believe so, without grip there would be even more injuries. It is what it is and happened all of a sudden. It sucks to see such a great player get torn down like that especially when his team is doing so well. I don't know if its just me who belives this but when a player or team starts getting to their full momentum or potiental something bad happens to someone.

Cool, I was hoping he wasn't in the last year of the deal.

this really sucks. He was still damn good too, so I hope he can come back and have another good year. Like Pagano said, he won't go out this way.

Well, what I'm saying is if the leg is forced a certain direction and the grip would get out on the grass. These injuries happen because feet are stuck in the ground.

I'm not saying it's a plausible solution. I just wonder if it's ever been considered.

Such a shame, 189 consecutive games comes to an end.

That's unfortunate. He's been a consistent performer, and one of the best receivers for the past decade. He was off to another great start and this changes the Colts offense, putting more pressure on TY Hilton and Darrius Heyward-Bey to step up into that #1 receiver spot.
