After losing Dwan Edwards for the season, the Baltimore Ravens acquired defensive end Marques Douglas from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on Wenesday.
Douglas originally came into the league in 1999 as an undrafted free agent with the Ravens. Douglas spent the 2000 season in New Orleans only to come back to Baltimore for the next 4 seasons. Douglas joined former defensive coordinator Mike Nolan in San Francisco in 2005, playing there through the 2007 season.
Douglas signed a 4-year, $10.1 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this off-season. The Buccaneers re-signing of Kevin Carter put Dougals' playing time in question and ultimately lead to the team agreeing to part with the 9-year veteran.
In exchange for Douglas, the Ravens sent a low 2009 draft pick and a conditional 2010 draft pick to Tampa Bay. -AE
