Raptors president Bryan Colangelo, in the wake of the Gay trade, is now openly acknowledging that he’s shopping former No. 1 overall pick Andrea Bargnani. The Lakers’ interest in Bargnani remains a matter of debate in the midst of the Italian’s worst-ever season by far, but the not-for-public-consumption message that continues to emanate from Canada is that Toronto remains intent on pursuing Gasol even after trading for Gay.
At a news conference Friday, Colangelo acknowledged that the Raptors are prepared to stray into luxury-tax territory in the “right transaction.” One source close to the situation says Gasol is a guy who fits those parameters, depending on the rest of potential trade principals besides Bargnani.
So we’ll see, over the next 20 days, if the Lakers change their stance on Gasol’s availability … and if Toronto can even assemble a package to tempt them without Jose Calderon’s expiring contract to attach to Bargnani.

If this team could hit a winning streak of some kind at at least approach .500, imagine what kind of first round nightmare they'd be if they had Gasol-Gay-Derozan? Holy shit. Add that on to seeing if Lowry can stay healthy and return to form and say Valencunas comes back? DAMN.

If we can get Derozan or TRoss in return, I'd dump Jeff Green to make it a 3 team

Lakers are just going to keep Pau
maybe maybe amnesty him in the offseason. to be determined

they want to have cap space in 2014 for LeBron. everyone is off the books that year except Nash currently. of course a Dwight re-signing could change that

Leaving Miami for anywhere that isn't Cleveland is foolish

Lakers aren't gonna take on Bargs without any young prospect I'd think.

And if Colangelo really flips another young piece for Gasol I'd be pretty pissed if I was a Raps fan. A team around Gay, Gasol and Lowry sounds nice, but you're still not anywhere near of beating teams like Miami or Chicago on a consistent basis. You're throwing away your future for a couple of good years here.

I'd trade him for Terrence Ross, but the Raptors would be foolish to do that.
