The Toronto Raptors are prepared to overhaul their roster under new general manager Masai Ujiri.

The Raptors are evaluating how their pieces fit, but nearly every player can be made available except for one.

"Anyone but [Jonas] Valanciunas," said one source.

Rudy Gay is making nearly $18 million this season and can opt out in the offseason, making him an intriguing candidate for the Raptors to move. DeMar DeRozan is on a new extension given by Bryan Colangelo, while Kyle Lowry will be a free agent in the offseason.

They're gonna have to eat some of that Gay contract if they want to move him.

At least it's only a year or 2 though. I'm sure Masai knows what to do. It's Masai lol.

Surprised Terrence Ross is available, but he really is kind of limited.

Valancuinas has size, athletcism and even a bit of a shooting touch, but something seems to be missing there. Probably just because he's young. I'm not as high on him as most. I'm sure I'll look like a dumbass when he's competing for all-star spots.

Me too. I see the potential certainly, but I just don't see him panning out as a perennial All-Star or anything.

Might just be because it is Toronto lol.

Smh like Toronto didn't produce draft picks like VC, T-Mac, and Bosh lol. I think it's the unconscious bias that European players aren't as good as American born players.

Saw a headline this morning implicating a potential "Rudy Gay to Lakers" trade and now I can't find it.  Is this a reach?  Who'd even come to Toronto in that deal?

Hopefully someone who doesn't waste countless possessions.
