Pro Football Talk - The Rams are trying very hard to trade offensive tackle Orlando Pace in hopes that they can get something in return for him.

If they can't find the right deal for Pace, they'll likely end up cutting the No. 1 overall pick from the 1997 NFL Draft.

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Rams are "trying like hell" to trade Pace, according to a league source.
Looks like they want to draft a OT in the draft.

That does seem like that is their goal. Pace isn`t as great of an O-lineman he was, but he can still improve another teams O-line that needs the improvement. Detroit, for example.

There's zero market for Pace and much like Torry Holt, he will probably be released by the 17th.

Pace has been one of the greatest LT's of our time but his career is coming to a close and I am sure no team is willing to take him at much over the Veteran's minimum.

Isn't Pace like 50? It seems like he's been around forever

Unless, your Detroit. but yeah, i`m kind of suprised, but at the same time not, that the market for Pace isn`t much, if anything.

Why would you trade away anything for him when he'll just be released a week or two later and you can get him w/o giving up picks?
