He does what he needs to do. He plays defense and is always racking up assists every night. But would he be as great offensively on a team like the Grizzlies, Raptors, Bobcats,or Wizards?

I think he has the skill no matter what team he's on, BUT I think his numbers wouldn't be as high though on a team that doesn't have the tools to contend at all.

There's no question he's gonna have a bit of a struggle when the big 3 is gone. He is a very good PG, no doubt. He is incredible at finding the open man and making the right pass, but right now, he doesn't have to shoot/score because the rest of the starters on the Celtics can score. But his numbers are going to take a dip when he has to contribute more to the offense and he would definitely not be as good on teams like the Grizzlies.

Yeah, without some of those key guys to get all those assists, he won't be as good. But he is a good player nonetheless. Even on the Grizzlies, he'd be able to find Rudy, Mayo, Ranolph, and Gasol for easy buckets, would he be getting 15 apg? No, but he'd still get good stats, his points would probably go way up on teams that would need him to score. But on the Celtics, he isn't needed to score most of the time.

Rondo is honestly a Top 3 if not Top 2 PG in this league. This dude could average 10+ dimes on any team in the league. Dude seriously creates shots for everyone around him. I don't see any reason he wouldn't do as great on other teams. I know it's all up to people making shots but Rondo usually sets the guys around him up pretty well.

I'm still taking CP3 and D-Will over Rondo. He's a lock at #3 for me though. The other guys are just as good of facilitators as Rondo, they're both pretty good defenders, Rondo is the best of the trio followed closely by D-Will then CP3. CP3 and D-Will have a huge advantage in the scoring department though.

Derrick Rose is NOT a top three PG. He's barely a top five.

Who do you have in front of him?

I'd still put Nash in the top 5. Rose would probably be #6 though.
1. Chris Paul
2. Deron Williams
3. Rajon Rondo
4. Steve Nash
5. Derrick Rose

Thats a good list. I think I agree 100% with that.

Now the tougher question I think would be who are the next 5.

Nash ahead of Rose? seriously?

how is derek rose not top 3?

I like BKS's list

CP
Deron
Rose
Rondo

i love Rondo guys, but he's not putting up 25/10 on this Bulls team
whereas Rose on the Celtics, wowzers.
Rondo is the better defender, but Rose isnt really that bad on the defensive front
that said, he's only 1 spot behind him

Rose is such an underrated playmaker. he just never has shooters or really flat out scorers. the fact that he's averaging 10 dimes a night is very impressive on that team

No <Censored>... Just imagine how his assist numbers are gonna look once Boozer comes back and they run the pick and roll. Rondo obviously has the advantage on defense, but under Coach Thibs, Rose is definitley gonna improve on that end of the floor. Derrick is also 100 times better scoring the ball and is actually a legit #1 option on a team. It's hard to say whether Rondo would have the success he's having without Garnett, Allen, and Pierce. He's obviously a talented playmaker, but you gotta admit his stats are a little inflated due to the talent around him. I mean, I don't think he's getting 15 APG with Taj Gibson, Keith Bogans, and Luol Deng on the floor with him. However, Derrick is managing to get nearly 10 APG and should be considered in the MVP race at this point in the season.

As someone who is a big fan of Derrick Rose and thinks that he will eventually be the top PG in the NBA, I have to give props to Rondo this season. He is playin' his ass off so far!!

IMHO,

1 Deron Williams
2 Rondo
3 Rose
4 CP3

Rondo scares me. When I watch him all I feel like it is all too easy for him.

Pretty much exactly my thoughts. He is going to slip a bit, of course, that is a given.
