Love it, lets get it done Spielman. Rosenfels is more than just the odd man out at this point, he was totally screwed in his trade/re-sign with Minnesota, and there is no way in hell this guy ends up with any playing time in 2010...not for the Vikings. Send him to Oakland, let the dude get his chance to shine, I think he's got potential to be a solid quarterback.By the looks of it the Oakland Raiders may be finally moving on from their former No.1 pick in quarterback JaMarcus Russell, as Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post has the Raiders in trade talks with the Minnesota Vikings for quarterback Sage Rosenfels. A move that would definitely put Rosenfels in the starting mix with Russell, Charlie Frye, and Bruce Gradkowski, a job he could easily win.
If this trade falls through it could be a huge step for the Raiders in the right direction, as I think Rosenfels should be given the job as soon as he enters Oakland. Simply put the Raiders have not been good at all at the quarterback position ever since they wasted that first overall pick on Russell, and likely won’t ever be with him calling the plays from the huddle.
I think the addition of Rosenfels could make the Raiders a surprise pick to make a playoff run in the AFC next season. There is a lot of young talent on this team, and a leader at the most important position could do wonders for this organization. Right now BetUS has the Raiders NFL odds to win the Super Bowl in 2010 at +12000, so now is the time to bet on them as those odds will only get better with better quarterback running the offense.
