RAIDERS TO RELEASE RONALD
Posted by Mike Florio on February 18, 2009, 10:46 a.m.
The Oakland Raiders will soon be parting ways with one of the only wideouts on the roster with any significant experience.
According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, the Raiders are expected to release receiver Ronald Curry.
Per NFLPA records, Curry was signed through 2011, at a base salary of $3.5 million this year. Per Schefter, the net cap savings will be $2.3 million.
Schefter also points out that the Raiders will save $7.2 million in cap space if they dump tackle Kwame Harris.

His TD catch vs Denver, in the snow, on SNF a few years back is still one of the sickest catches I've ever seen. To jump that high, reach that far behind himself....looked like he was going for a tomahawk dunk of something.
