As each day progresses, Oakland's interim coach Tom Cable watches his chances of getting the full-time job grow, but according to a source, he might get an interview for another head coaching job.
Cable is hearing his name associated with a team other than the Raiders, according to the source. His contract expires Jan. 13. His record was 4-8 as the Raiders interim coach, but the team made a strong showing in December, and quarterback JaMarcus Russell improved during the final month of the season.
Raiders owner Al Davis has not reached outside the organization yet to talk to other candidates for the job. Cable replaced Lane Kiffin after Kiffin's 1-3 start.
