I found this interesting. I love the quote from the Raiders DC to Jamarcus Russell complaining about not being able to pass the ball:

...In seven-on-seven passing drills, the quarterbacks drop back, survey the field as receivers run their patterns, then stop without making a pass. JaMarcus Russell(notes) pleaded with his coaches to be able to show off that strong arm of his to no avail, although defensive coordinator John Marshall did shout out at one point, “It’s time for a pick.”
I guess Cable is taking drastic measures to fix their tradition of losing.

For the Raiders, those crashes won’t begin until Monday, the fifth day of training camp. For now, they have one more day of drills that may look mundane but are ones Cable says are vital for the Raiders to reverse a six-year slide of losing.
We'll see.

Cable is trying to think outside the box and get his players to believe that a change in their training routine will translate into different results on the field. A 7-on-7 drill that doesn't include actually throwing the ball just sounds stupid to me though.

If the Raiders want to win, then they need to make the right decisions in who they employ to coach the team...and then give those coaches time to develop. Hiring a credible General Manager would also help.
