idk, maybe just make it white?
drop shadow may not work cause what's under it is dark too, lol

No drop shadow, make it a lighter gray like almost white. And take off some of the texture, render needs to be less blended too.

Yes that's better, maybe move it to the right though. Also with the sharpen it's not always bad to sharpen too much, look at my work I use it a lot too, you just have to know how to make it look good when it's used too much.
