Yahoo! Sports - Joey Porter wants to be released by the Dolphins because he's upset with the reduced role he had last season and doesn't think his relationship with coach Tony Sparano can be repaired.

Porter told Miami's flagship radio station Tuesday he wants to be waived rather than traded so he can join another team as an every-down linebacker.
