National Football Post - The NFL's owners appear adamant about introducing blood testing for HGH as part of a new collective bargaining agreement, but the players are unlikely to accept such a proposal.

A different form of a test might be easier for the players to accept, as Matt Bowen of the National Football Post writes.

Needles are a touchy issue for athletes, especially when it comes to privacy issues and other formalities.

A lot of them probably use HGH.. That's another reason they don't want the testing.

Mason: Goodell's Stance On HGH Is A 'Joke'

ESPN.com - Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason isn't happy with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's stance on HGH testing.

Goodell insists that the league will demand that a blood test for HGH is a part of the next collective bargaining agreement.

"He needs to stop crying about blood tests and HGH. He needs to try to get a deal done, that's what he needs to do," Mason said during his weekly appearance on "The Norris & Davis Show" on 105.7 FM in Baltimore.

"He's been on this crusade about HGH, but he needs to be on a crusade about getting these owners together and trying to work out a deal. To me, he's a joke, because every time I look, he's talking about performance enhancements instead of talking about trying to figure out a way to make sure football is played in August."

When asked if he would call Goodell a "joke" to his face, Mason replied: "Yeah. He's a grown man and I'm a grown man."

LOL should tell everybody something about the players that don't want to be tested.
