A painfully uneventful time in the NFL but I did look around today & dug up some news on key players around the league. My hope is that some of this is useful in striking up the conversation.

Plaxico Burress: According to close friends, Plaxico has a high interest in playing for the Dolphins. With a residence in Miami, Plax wants to wear the aqua & orange upon the closure to his legal issues. The Buccaneers & Jets are reportedly hot on his trail already but Plaxico must first finish his court preceding. Plax is currently facing a potential 3 1/2 year sentence on the infamous gun charge.

Antoine Winfield:
Not attending the Vikings mandatory 3-day mini-camp & hasn't shown his face all pre-season long. Though a funeral is keep Winfield away from the team this week, he is at an impasse with Vikings on contract talks & appears to be suiting up for the Vikings for 1 last year. Winfield, 32, is coming off his first Pro Bowl year & is in the final year of his current contract.

Deuce McAllister:
Looking for a fresh start, Deuce is looking to join the Rams. In his own words: "Definitely sounds like a pretty good fit. Just looking at some of the things they're trying to do in St. Louis, you have to definitely look at it but at the same time there has to be interest not only on the team side but the player side and it's definitely there on my side. One of the things that's going to happen is everybody's going to get a fresh chance in St. Louis just because of the new regime that's in there."

Greg Ellis: Jerry Jones has gone on record and said that Ellis will be traded or released prior to the start of the 2009 season. Though Jones is in no hurry to move Ellis, doing so would save the team $4.5M in cap space...which is money well needed in order to give DeMarcus Ware a hefty new deal.

QUESTION: Can anybody tell me what this means...

....anybody....?

It means back down to Earth for the rest of the NFL in 2009. -AE

I`m already getting sick of Tom Brady talks. I swear a bunch of sportscasters and people all over creamed themselfs when they saw footage of Brady throwing a football. You know what I thought "Looks like i`m going to have to watch SportsCenter on mute for a few weeks."

Because it's not like the guy missed an entire season or anything...

It's the biggest story in the NFL right now, like it or not, so they are going to milk it as much as they can. Just like they did with Favre.

To me the picture looks like....

"Here's the Colts, Steelers, and Ravens Defenses from the Spygate incident... Just keep it a hush-hush."

Brady back should be over exposed and be the biggest story.. Because the Patriots are easily the best team when he is healthy.

They wouldn't need the Colts defense...it's the offense we would be worried about. ;)
