Pistons' Wallace fined $25K for cursing, criticizing officials

NEW YORK -- Detroit's Rasheed Wallace was fined $25,000 Thursday by the NBA for using profanity and criticizing the officiating after a playoff game the night before.

After the Pistons' 106-102 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals, Wallace went on an expletive-laced rant targeting officials Mike Callahan and Kenny Mauer.

"The cats are flopping all over the floor and they're calling that," Wallace said. "That ain't basketball out there. It's all entertainment. You all should know that."

The Celtics lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.

What else can he expect when he curses every other word. Seriously all I heard besides beeps on SC was flopping. That's it. Next time he needs to say it much calmer and with less curse words, then maybe he wouldn't get fined like that! Now, let's see when he gets his next technical which would mean a suspension.

Your saying it like they didn't call BS calls towards the Pistons and like they haven't been doing it for both teams this whole series. Refs always call BS calls for every team, everyone just needs to learn to live with it (look at the Fisher/Barry play).

Sheed does not speak intelligently IMO. I like the guy, but I'm sure he is far from the smartest person in the NBA. He just has a big mouth, and people hate him for it. Loads of people have big mouths.

And if I say he is speaking unintelligently and your saying I'm wrong and I'm not Sheed then the only argument you have is that he is saying it intelligently which he is not. He speaks his mind but so does Kobe, Duncan, Shaq, LeBron, KG, and everyone else in the NBA, they're just smart with their words, Sheed on the other hand is not smart with them. Who needs to get over it now?

It definitely bothers me as you can see and everyone outside of Detroit, especially the league office. Obviously it doesn't bother you or any Pistons fans, he knows that. He's just stupid saying those comments.

How wold you feel if my Heat were beat by your Pistons in a close game then let's say Shawn Marion started cursing every other word about how bad the refs were and they were the reason they lost, basically making up excuses.
