One year into a four-year, $64-million contract, Tobias Harris' days in Orlando are over.

The Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic finalized a trade Tuesday that sends Ersan Ilyasova and Brandon Jennings to Orlando in exchange for Harris.

Detroit would not send any additional picks in the proposed deal, sources told ESPN's Zach Lowe.

A report on Feb. 8 suggested the Magic would be open to dealing Harris to become "more seasoned." The Magic are the third-youngest team in the league, while Ilyasova and Jennings are veterans with proven track records.

we still need threads.

That's an underwhelming package for someone who's got a decent upside, no?

At least this means it'll open up some more opportunity for young guns like, Mario and Gordon to shine, I guess.

I think that was their premise behind making the deal, but still I do also think they could have gotten a bigger return. Apparently they plan to make a splash in free agency with all that cap space they will have. However, I don't really think they're as big of a draw as they think they are.

we can have up to $21M. so we wont. im assuming that figure doesn't have cap holds or rookie contracts factored in.

I think it's 13M with Dre's cap hold.

Funny thing is 13M could end up being just enough to afford a scrub

Apparently the deal was Harris to New Orleans, Anderson to Detroit, and expirings to Orlando but the deal fell through shortly before this deal was agreed upon. I think that's twice now Harris was traded from a Scott Skiles coached team lol
