Pistons owner Karen Davidson said Wednesday that the team is definitely for sale. "We're looking for a buyer," she told the Detroit Free-Press.

Davidson assumed control of the franchise after the death of her husband, Bill, in March of 2009. Forbes recently placed the value of the team at $479 million, fourth-highest in the NBA.

The league is adamant about keeping the team in Detroit and its owners must approve any sale.

So that's pretty much a big relief. I hope its sold to someone who is dedicated to making us win having a great team again.

I don't mind that they're out in Auburn Hills. It's a straight shot from 696 to 75 for me, I like the drive. It's real nice out there.

That would be cool if Gilbert himself sold the Cavs if LeBron doesn't return and buys the Pistons. But yeah some other guy linked to Gilbert might put a group together to buy it I heard, can't remember the name.
