Boston Globe -
The Pistons saved a ton of money (around $20 million) in a deal Friday that sent Nazr Mohammed to Charlotte for Primoz Brezec and Walter Herrmann. The contracts of both imported Bobcats are up at the end of this season, while Mohammed is owed more than $19 million over the three years beyond this one.

Mohammed didn't get a lot of playing time for the Pistons but likely will move into the starting center spot for Charlotte. The Pistons had to release Ron Dupree to make room for the new twosome, and there is talk now that they could bring in Chris Webber for the veteran's minimum without incurring the luxury tax.
Good to see we might get Webber back, but the question is where will he be put on the roster. Right now we have 14 players. Hopefully we get rid of Flip for a pick so we can lower our roster size. I don't really know where he could fit right now.

Well I know where he will be put, but the question is who will be on our in-active list.

Man if Webber comes back I want him to have a reserve role ONLY.
I would just hope Maxiell would still get his minutes.

Well he would reallyonly give Sheed and Dyess a few less minutes if anything. He will probably play the Nazr role, with a few more minutes maybe. The question is what happens to Primoz, Herrmann, and Amir. Man what a solid center/power forward rotation.

I don't know.
I want to see how Herrmann can playout(Maybe we could resign him)and I also feel as of right now Amir still isn't getting as much as he could be.I'd rather us sign maybe PJ Brown or a REAL Center...But I think our team is fine as is.We should wait untill like the end of the season or maybe a month before to sign anyone....
We should just try to trade Flip.

Roster is at 15. They would have to cut someone or make a trade again to sign anyone.

The Pistons are probably waiting on a Murray trade, so they can see what Stuckey will do. If he does good, maybe the trade will come, and they may bring in Webber (who will probably come off the bench for a while) but Maxiells time will probably go down, and Amir probably won't hardly play.

I want Flip to be delt for a pick or something(But he has an expiring contract)
And whats in bold is the reason for why I don't want Webber back. If we do sign someone I would perfer a player that plays good enough defense.

Signing Webber would be horrible, obviously right now we are playing pretty good right now with our team and Webber doesn't have much left. Why stop the development of Maxiell and stop giving him his minutes for an older less energetic player? McDyess,Wallace,Maxiell are a very solid trio of C's/PF's. Hell I'd like to see how Brezec can play with this team, he used to be a 13 and 7 guy. Webber wouldn't do much for the team.

See I don't know why you hate me? You and I agree on almost everything.
I have been saying this since the start of the season.

Lol, I don't hate you, it's just I didn't think you deserved to be mod ahead of others. Nothing personal like I said.

But if we do get Webber I hope he would get like Nazr Minutes and I doubt he would even want that.

Well I dropped out and told Jarrod that Maple deserves it.
By the way have you noiticed you and I do agree on almost everything?

And Webber used to be a 20 and 10 guy whats your point? And Webber could still get 13 and 7. I don't want to see Maxiells minutes get cut either....the guy is good and young, but Webber is still better in some ways. He's by far the better jump shooter, and passer by far. And a big man that can pass really well opens up alot of options.

If they sign Webber, he'll get a hell of a lot more time than Nazr did. Webber is a good player and is probably still capable of getting around 14 and 5 a game.

He's been getting 11 points and 6 rebounds per game. He's 34 almost 35 with bad knees, hasn't played a game yet in 2007-2008 season and who knows what kind of shape he is in and you want him to come here and take minutes away from developing young talent? Were fine without Webber. I mean sure he could be a decent addition to an already deep team, but I could care less if we get him or not.

Well I don't care if you guys get him or not....its your loss. Oh and 11 and 7(it was 11 and 7 actually I just checked) a night thats good compared to what Maxiell and Amir and most of the bench guys are getting. Maxiell is off and on all the time. 1 night he'll have like 18 next night 4.
