He did get offered like 12 million a year to be a backup in OKC.

Also, Dragic set the market. Not much of a choice to pay him this.

thats what i was going to say. they seen him everyday, a lot more than any of us, and knew hed only be a 16-22mpg backup and offered him $12M. with the cap rising, this isnt that bad. just crazy knowing hes the highest paid piston of all time(for now) and he has a ton on his shoulders.

its supposedly a full five years with no options. how does that effect drummond? he can still get his max right?

Yeah he can. But I think we will just wait until next season to preserve some cap space.
I'd rather see that just get done now though.

if drummond handles this like reggie clearly did, im fine for waiting. these two know the team was built around them.
