Peyton Manning intends to play in the 2015 season no matter what happens during the remainder of 2014.
"I have not thought about those circumstances at all," Manning said. "I certainly plan on being back if the Broncos would have me, but at this point I'm kind of thinking about Oakland. I know this is the time where conversations about what head coaches are going to return and I guess for some reason I get to fall into that category because I'm closer to the same age as some of the coaches.
"I have no plans along those lines [of retiring],'' Manning added. "I'm enjoying playing, I'm looking forward to Sunday's game and hopefully the game to follow that.''
Manning is 38 years old and in his 17th season.

Could see him going past 40 as long as they keep the weapons there in Denver.

Just need a straight solid healthy O-Line. Too many injuries which forced line shifts .

Maybe I'm crazy but I'm seeing Peyton's deterioration. The ducks are more wobbly, the deep passes require more effort. He's losing grip, which is why he's been using the glove these past few years. His spinal issues aren't allowing his hand to hang on to the ball all that well. I think the end is near unless pride overrules common sense, on his part.

I know that I might be wrong, and I probably am wrong, but as far as what my eyes tell me, his ability to grip the ball is fading at an alarming rate.

Well he's definitely deteriorating, that was bound to happen.  But there's no need to retire unless he feels unsafe in the pocket. He's still one of the best QBs in the game.
