Gary Myers of the New York Daily News believes that "one of the most intriguing possibilities" of the NFL labor war is that Peyton Manning "could soon become the greatest unrestricted free agent in the history of the sport."
Depending on various possible future court rulings, there actually is a chance that Manning, Indianapolis' franchise player, could become an UFA this summer. Naturally, Myers thinks the Jets should make a run at him. Although concocting far-flung scenarios in which superstar athletes come to the Big Apple has long been a hobby of the New York media, this is a particularly laughable one. Never mind the fact there's a good chance Manning won't become an UFA, or that even if he did, he's never done anything to suggest he would ever consider leaving Indy. There would also be the matter of Mark Sanchez's $14.75 million 2011 salary.

Not if more money is on the table from somewhere else.
Again, wishful thinking from a Jaguar fan.

The Colts don't want Peyton to go anywhere -- and Peyton won't want to go anywhere else. They don't have some rocky ass relationship that the media sometimes makes it out to be.

Oh well, I'll let you guys see first hand.

Nobody says they have a rocky relationship. Everybody knows the Colts want Peyton to stay. Its the fact that due to the CBA, the franchise tag might not = shit. And since the Colts won't dish out the money to keep him in a contract. He could hit the open market. You dont want somebody like Peyton to hit the open market.

You mean to tell me he'd turn down an offer with more money from somebody like the Vikings to go back to Indy with a team that has its window closing?

Being a Jaguars fan has nothing to do with this, I don't care if he stays on the colts, we play yall tough no matter what.

However, being a stubborn Dolts fan is whats important and obvious here.

You make it sound like he's 25 years old. Again. That's where you go wrong. Do you want to know why the Colts window is closing? Yeah. Because his window is closing, and he is getting up their in years. Why would he leave to a team like the Vikings (who also have a lot of old players on defense, is their window closing) from the place he is loved so dearly which is Indianapolis?

It doesn't make any sense for him, or the Colts to not welcome each other back. No. I don't want him the hitting market, but I'm not scared at all for him to come back.

He won the Super Bowl with the Colts in 2006, and he was just one injury plagued season away from battling the Saints and coming up short in his second one. There is still time for success for Manning and the Colts.

I'm not being stubborn, or arrogant, I'm pointing out facts. Take it or leave it.

I don't even know what I'd do if we signed Peyton, my god, we could probably trade Sanchez for a top 10 pick after that

LOL.
I know you aren't talking about this past season as a injury plagued season. Maybe if Special Teamers and Practice Squad guys on IR meant injury plagued.

Also, the Vikings window isn't closing, they have a young core. Just are missing a QB. Not like the Colts, to where fucking Polian has ruined the team as of late with his horrible drafting and such. So Manning is all the colts have.

Austin Collie
Melvin Bullitt
Kelvin Hayden
Gary Brackett
Clint Session
Anthony Gonzalez
Jerraud Powers
Dallas Clark

LOL.

Please, take off the homer shades and think for one minute. Like those guys aren't core for our fucking team. All of whom were injured last year, and missed games, extended periods of time, or were placed on IR.

The Vikings are not just a QB away. Lmao. Why? Because they got to the NFC Title with Favre? No. They have an aging Winfield who isn't the same, the Williams wall is going to be broken wide apart.. And they have offensive line issues. That team isn't just a QB away. It'd help them a lot, but they got a lot of issues.

Bill Polian has wrecked our team? I forgot, two picks (who I am not ready write off yet) haven't panned out in the first round so let's call him a POS.

Collie played most of the year, was put on IR during week 15.. gimme a break.
Bullitt is a BACKUP safety whos been forced into the starting lineup the past couple of years due to bangedupbob. He is meh.
Hayden is laughable and Danny will back me up on this, yalls worst CB. He also played most of the year
Brackett and Clint Sessions are probably the most overrated Colts of all time, really wouldn't even be starting on another team.
Anthony Gonzalez is a bum and a bust.
Powers also played most of the year.
Dallas Clark is the only REAL big loss. Whoopie. Congrats Colt fans, you can now stop using the injury excuse.

Also, Bill Polian hasn't drafted well since he got Bob Sanders and company in the early 2000's. Hes not one of the dumbest GMs in the league.

Collie is a concussion away from being in a wheelchair. Gonzalez is a piece of shit so I wouldnt count him as part of your core.

I'm talking about guys who were knicked up and hurt. What are you going to say about Green Bay and their injury bitching? Look at their list. They cried, and cried.. Everyone is going to have guys hurt who ARE NOT exactly big name players.

Anyways:

Collie - Collie played but again, in the big time periods, he wasn't available for us to lean on and go with him. The guy got fucking blasted horrifically twice.. Don't even say that wasn't critical. Check out Peyton and Collie's passing connection, btw and look how key he is to the new phase of offense for us.

Bullitt - Again, he's not a backup safety. He can start in the NFL. And he's reliable. He isn't picking off the ball or making humongous hits? Could give a fuck. He fits our system nice, and he's a safety blanket back there. We have the most underrated safety in the NFL next to him to make the big hits, etc.

Hayden - Hayden hasn't performed like he has in previous years, but he's still a fine corner. It's tough losing a guy like him, and he missed games here and there to injuries. Which hurt our secondary in the long haul.

You know what, I am just going to stop.. Gary Brackett is one of the most overrated Colts ever? Are you seriously fucking retarded? It doesn't even matter that he wouldn't start on other teams (look at our scheme and philosophy, kid) he's been reliable, sturdy and a leader for us. His leadership is critical for our defense, and his play against the pass is outstanding and always has been. Watch Pat Angerer, who I think can develop eventually try and play his role, he was lost trying to defend the pass.. It was so noticable due to the fact Gary is huge in our defense.

So no, just stop, get a clue about the Colts, please.

Ever thought maybe you're the one sipping the homer koolaid?
I watch the Colts just as much as anybody here, and love to watch them because when shit like this pops up, I know what I'm talking about. Collie is a PRODUCT. Without Manning, he wouldn't be shit, same with Garcon.

Brackett is overrated. He's a bum and hes part of the reason your defense is laughed at year after year.
Bullitt isn't decent by any means either, I remember tons of times Garrard made him look silly. Its easy to look decent with Mathis/Freeney infront of you.

Peyton Manning should just go to the Cardinals. They have a good offense with a lot of young players, now if Warner could do amazing things with that team. Imagine what a Manning-Fitzgerald connection would do! Omg insane....

But seriously he is staying with the Colts, there is no doubt about that.

That was back when the Cardinals actually had a decent defense though

Lets start throwing out possible destinations for Peyton! 49ers perhaps? Or how about the Browns? If any team I would put my money on the Titans because he loves Tennessee during his college football days and would LOVE to bring a championship there.
