Andy Pettitte to retire tomorrow
Yankees announcer and ESPN Radio host Michael Kay just tweeted the following:

I have learned that Andy Pettitte will officially retire tomorrow. [More] details to come….Michael
Ken Rosenthal has a source that is confirming that Pettitte will retire tomorrow. Jack Curry of YES Network has a full story on it here. He’s heading to New York where there will be a press conference.
This has been the bad news Yankees fans have feared for some time. They’ve prepared themselves for it, but they’ve all hoped that Pettitte was going to give it one last go-around.

What does this mean for the Yankees rotation and chances? I take a first stab at it here. Short version: everything’s going to have to break right.

Like Swisher said the other day, he has every right to ride off into the sunset. Andy has been a hell of a pitcher for a really long time and I'll definitely miss him. Hope to se him in the Hall one day but I'm not sure he'll get in.

A memorable moment.

I was pissed, I didn't bring a camera because I figured I'd take pictures with phone then I left my phone at my house so I didn't get any pictures.

Was fun though.

I appreciate all Andy has done for the organization, he was the fucking man while I was growing up. Maybe it's because I'm not surprised...but I'm not all that taken by this news. I hate to say it, but for some reason...Andy's stint in Houston sort've put a damper on his Yankee legacy. Maybe it's just me but things weren't the same after he returned.
