Hornets' guard Jannero Pargo has become the latest 'yahoo' to leave the NBA and bolt to Europe.
Announced yesterday, Pargo leaves his cozy seat on the New Orleans bench for 'stardom' in Russia. Pargo signed a one-year deal with Dynamo Moscow of the Russian League his agent, Mark Bartelstein, told The Associated Press.
Pargo's new deal is worth about $4 million, twice what he made with New Orleans last season. Bartelstein also fired off one of the 'funniest-not funny' comments I have heard in a while, telling the AP:
Pargo, 6'1/175 lbs, is a product of Arkansas and a 6-year NBA veteran. Pargo averaged 8.1 points and 18 minutes a game as a reserve for the Hornets last season.
Please...somebody now run to Iverson or Steve Nash and ask them if they would ever consider playing in Europe for $50 million. -AE

"Jannero's probably one of the higher profile players to go over."
