SUNRISE, Fla. Florida Panthers Executive Vice-President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that Florida has acquired D Sean Sullivan from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for C Tim Kennedy.
Sullivan, 27, has played in 32 games with the Worcester Sharks (AHL) this season scoring five goals with 19 assists. The Boston, MA, native has appeared in 183 games with San Antonio (2006-07 & 2007-10) registering 89 points (21-68-89) and 69 PIM.
The 6-foot, 190-pound defenseman posted career highs in goals (12), assists (37) and points (49) while playing for San Antonio during the 2009-10 campaign. He was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in the ninth round (272nd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
