Pro Football Talk - Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer still hasn't officially retired even though the regular season is less than three weeks away.

Cincinnati placed Palmer on the reserve/did not report list when he didn't show up for training camp. The move could potentially expose Palmer to $30,000 per day in fines

First off, there is no way that if he does come back it's with the Bengals. I think he's made it perfectly clear that he's done with that team, and can't blame him after the hits he's taken, and all the times where the organization hasn't done anything to improve the roster. Granted, neither side handled it right, but he has a right to demand a trade. If he does get dealt, he'll play, but unless that happens, he'll call it a career.

You could be wrong come Friday if Brown agrees to terms to having Carson back for one year. Why Brown would actually want to do this is beyond me but it doesn't surprise me.

When you say they haven't improved the roster, what do you mean by that? Carson Palmer has always been given good weapons since becoming QB here, they always tried making him happy.

San Fran is actually a really good fit for Carson. He gets to go back to Cali and has three great receiving weapons and a good running game.

Just figured out which team I'm going to start a franchise with on Madden. Gonna use the 9ers and trade for Carson.

Carson should come back now. No way they'd let him come back to their team and start. And if they made him, he could half ass it and ruin their season, until he's cut or traded lol.

If Carson comes back, he will be the starter, they will not let him sit on the bench with that kind of money. He will either play and be the starting QB or get traded, one of the two. If he plays one year, he's probably gone after that.

Would they let him come back though? Can they trust him?

He's going to stay un retired, never report, his contract will expire, and then the Bengals will franchise tag him.
