The Indiana Pacers plan on bringing back Frank Vogel as head coach next season, according to sources.

Vogel led the Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals again this season, as well as the best record in the Eastern Conference. But the Pacers narrowly moved past the Atlanta Hawks and the Washington Wizards in the first and second rounds.

The issue in Indiana isn't coaching or management...it's the players. They're too young, their egos are too inflated, and there just isn't enough room for one budding superstar and one budding second level star on the same team, at least not when that team wants to truly contend.

If the Pacers stick next year out having signed Lance (assuming they do), they'll be OK. Him and George will be a fearsome duo, but both have to mature.

The Pacers are set at 2-5 if they can get Lance signed. George Hill is up in the air, however. Dude disappeared unless the team actually moved the ball, which was rare.

People are so convinced that the Pacers need to look elsewhere at Point Guard. I'm not sure that that's the case. I would, anyway, but there's an obvious in-house solution--they just need to shrink George and Lance's egos and get the offense flowing again.
