The NBA and NBPA will meet on Friday for what will be the most important set of talks during the lockout.

David Stern’s “going to make a real hard push to get a deal this weekend,” one team president told Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday. “If the union makes a slight move, David will move.

“But the players have to blink first.”

Many people from the players' side already feel they have given up too much to the owners and that at this point Stern's job in getting a deal done is to convince hard-line owners to allow the players to feel as though they haven't given up everything.

At least they're starting to realize that a deal does need to get done. Like the article says, it sounds like they're going to push hard for a deal, so I think it's very optimistic that something does start to get done. Should be an interesting day for NBA news tomorrow. We'll see if we're going to have a season or not.

Thoughts?
