Sources indicate the Orlando Magic have been in contact with the Washington Wizards about acquiring guard Gilbert Arenas.

What Orlando would send Washington in return for the three-time All-Star is not clear. However, proposed deals have included shooting guard Vince Carter, Wizards big man Andray Blatche, Magic forward Rashard Lewis, and Magic center Daniel Orton.

Both teams have a mutual understanding of what the trade might include, sources say, but it's unclear what factors are holding up the trade.

What is clear around the league, however, is that Magic President of Basketball Operations Otis Smith has his eye on Arenas. If Orlando is to make a major trade this season, Arenas will likely be the target.

Kind of interesting the Magic are looking again to snag him. Going to be interesting how hard of a push they make for him.

Hmmmm Gilbert I think would be great on the Magic, but if they have to give up Shard + Carter for him, I dunno.

I don't see how Arenas helps them at all. As well as getting rid of Shard and Vince in the process.

What they need to do is figure out a way to get rid of that <Censored>ty contract with Rashard Lewis. Man he is overpaid, I would trade Shard only for Arenas cuz he hasnt done anything really in the past 2 years anyways and his contract is just as bad.

I always think what the Magic would be like if they didnt have those 2 hefty contracts and who they would pair up with Dwight....
