Olin Kreutz leaves Saints

New Orleans Saints center Olin Kreutz has decided to leave the team, according to agent Mark Bartelstein, because he felt like he was not able to bring the same passion to work every day that he had throughout his 14-year career.

"He decided, 'If I can't bring that same passion every day to work, I'm not gonna just sit here and collect a paycheck,'" Bartelstein said. "That's the way he is. Olin's a little different than most guys. People say all the time that it's not about the money. That's really how it is with him. It never has been."

This is great news, Kreutz was quite possibly the worst center in the NFL. When he was out for those two games we were averaging like 140 yards on the ground.

All he's really doing is saving face, from what I've heard he was going to be benched and then got into it with our OL coach, so instead of being benched he basically quit on the team.

Damn that really sucks for a guy that has been very productive in his career. I wouldve collected the paychecks, lol.

The Saints tried to trade him before the deadline.

Should have never went to New Orleans and just retired. He hasn't been good for a few years.

He was easily our worst lineman this year in the games he played. I think it was more of a panic signing on the Saints part when we didn't get Goody to come back.
